Since 2005 Ralf Kronberger is head of the Financial, Fiscal and Trade Policy Department in the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber. The Department’s tasks are – inter-field – the formulation of policy recommendations in International Trade Policy and on the operational side the management of the ATA carnet in Austria.
He is part time lecturer at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, as well as at the University of Applied Sciences of Wiener Neustadt and of Vienna.
Ralf Kronberger started his professional career in 1998 at Siemens Austria as a project manager. From 1999 to 2000 he served as project manager at Merril Lynch International Bank Limited in Vienna. In 2000 he started to work for the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, then in the Sciences Department.
He holds a Ph.D. in International Economic Sciences of the University of Innsbruck, which he passed with Distinction. He also studied in Seville/Spain, Leuven/Belgium and Buenos Aires/Argentina. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and French and has a good knowledge of Polish.
He is editor of the yearly published book „Focus on External Trade“. He has also published numerous articles in the fields of International Trade Policy, Monetary Policy and Fiscal Policy. Soon he will publish the 2nd edition of his textbook “Austrian Economic Policy”.
