Mrs. Beatriz Daza is Business Development Director at Barranquilla Chamber of Commerce. As such, Mrs. Daza leads the operation of 3 main programs within the Chamber of Commerce:
High Growth Entrepreneurship (HGE) and Innovation, International Markets and Special Projects (Business Development Services for Clusters). All these programs aim for the integration of key players, the promotion of business networks and the activation of working capital and knowledge flow, in order to increase the evolution of companies. In the last couple of years, almost 500 companies in Barranquilla and other municipalities of the Atlántico state have benefited from the services delivered to them (SMEs and entrepreneurs mostly).
About Ms. Daza’s background, she has a title in Communications and has held the positions of Director of Cooperation and Agreements at Proexport Colombia (2006 2007), where she leaded different programs to help SMEs reach international markets; Director of Corporate Tourism at Proexport Miami (2007-2009), where she had the responsibility of promoting Colombia as a top destination for the MICE market in the US; and General Manager of iNNpulsa Mipyme, national matching grant fund created to foster innovation and business development in SME’s and entrepreneurs (2010-2014), where she was a member of the team that designed the national policy for entrepreneurship and innovation in SMEs and where she had the mission of executing it through different instruments such as iNNpulsa Mipyme.
