Vincent specializes in providing mergers and acquisition advisory services. Since joining KPMG in 2000, Vincent has advised on over 500 transactions, working on both inbound and outbound transactions. His portfolio includes advising foreign companies in their investments in Taiwan as well as advising local companies in their investment/acquisition of foreign companies, including Taiwan Synthetic Rubber Corp’s acquisition of Dexco Polymer (based in Texas, US) from Dow Chemical and Exxon Mobil, and most recently, major shareholder of the Ambassador Hotel’s acquisition of McDonald’s Taiwan.
Due to recent changes in government policies, Vincent has assisted a number of Taiwanese financial institutions in their investments in overseas financial institutions, such as Cathay Financial Holdings acquisition of Conning Holdings in the US, Yuanta Financial Holding‘s acquisition of Korean based Tong Yang Securities and Tong Yang Bank in the Philippines, together with Hanshin Savings Bank in Korea, and CTBC Bank’s acquisition of RBS’s assets in Malaysia. In addition, he is currently involving in a number of deals representing Taiwanese financial institutions for investing in ASEAN countries like Cambodia and Indonesia.
Additionally, Vincent’s client base also includes Fubon Financial Holding, GE Group, Acer Group, Tatung Group, Want Want Group, Goldman Sachs, Mitsui & Co., and Nomura Securities, etc. Prior to joining KPMG, Vincent worked at a Chartered Accountancy firm in Sydney, Australia for five years as a business service manager providing audit, tax and other business services to his clients. Vincent also currently teaches mergers and acquisition and financial planning courses at the Graduate Institute of Management of National Taiwan Normal University.
