Ruedi is currently the executive director of the Alliance des Chambres de commerce suisses, the Swiss National Guaranteeing Organization for ATA carnets, whose office is handling roughly 3’000 claims per year. Under the administration of the Alliance, 17 Swiss chambers have issued over 29’000 ATA Carnets in 2016. Prior to assuming his role at the Swiss NGO, Ruedi worked part time at the Chamber of Commerce of Bern/Switzerland, issuing ATA carnets and consulting with ATA carnet holders on a regular basis.
Ruedi has both Swiss and Canadian Citizenships. He has completed his elementary studies in Switzerland, before returning to his native Canada in 1996. For the next 10 years he lived in Calgary, working in the recreational vehicle industry. During his time in Western Canada, he completed his technical training in recreational vehicle maintenance. In 2006, he returned to Switzerland and commenced his graduate studies at the Bern University of Applied Sciences, from where he graduated in June of 2011. A few weeks later, he assumed his responsibilities at the Swiss NGO.
