BİÇER UÇAR Ezgi
Ezgi BİÇER UÇAR was born in Soma, Turkey, in 1981. She completed her primary and secondary education in Mersin. Graduated from French speaking Galatasaray University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of International Relations in 2005, she completed her post-graduate degree in Institute of Politic Sciences (Sciencepo) Aix-en-Provence, Department of Comparative Politics in France. Afterwards, she started a research internship in European Parliament, Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development through the Robert Schuman Scholarship Program in October, 2006. After this semi-annual internship, she started working at the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce. Due to the fact that Dr. Murat YALÇINTAŞ, President of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce at that period, was elected as President of the Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME), she carried out her duty as a Coordinator in Presidency of the ASCAME until August, 2011.
Along with the creation of new projects aimed at enhancing the Association, she also played an active role in preparation of various guidelines for ASCAME to operate more effectively and become more institutional. Starting to work as Advisor to the President in Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 15th August 2011, BİÇER UÇAR not only worked as an advisor in terms of active participation of Mersin CCI in ASCAME, but she also carried out the duty of representation of the Chamber abroad. She has been carrying on her duty in Mersin CCI as Vice Secretary-General since 22nd January 2015 and responsible from the coordination of “Projects”, “Information Technologies”, “Press & Corporate Communication”, “Economic Researches”, “Member Services & Sector Committees”, “EU Information Centre” departments.
Mrs. BİÇER UÇAR speaks Turkish, English and French. She is married and has a son.
